Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently across the United States.
- Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and appropriate handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and delivery logs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers regarding delivery schedules and any route changes.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.
- Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic laws.
- Basic math skills for reading bills of lading and calculating tolls.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and handle overnight travel as required.
