Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and routes.
- Represent the company professionally while on the road and at customer sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, map reading, and GPS navigation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional weekends if necessary.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor.
