Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet tight schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route conditions
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license (Illinois)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Basic navigation and GPS proficiency
- Flexibility for overnight travel (1-3 nights/week)
- High school diploma or equivalent
