Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated stops in the San Francisco metropolitan area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, timesheets, and delivery receipts (DVIR) for all assigned runs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients and resolving delivery issues on-site.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company driving policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, reporting any maintenance or mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and be insurable under company policy.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math skills for handling change and inventory management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently without close supervision.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings as needed.
