Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight to designated customer locations on schedule.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid US Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable local driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Basic math skills for inventory and cash handling.
- Reliable transportation to and from the terminal.
