Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Deliver freight on time while adhering to all safety regulations
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean vehicle interior and exterior at all times
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Familiarity with CA/US highway systems and route planning
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in various weather conditions
