Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight to customers on established routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in strict compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, delivery receipts, and mileage records.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and federal regulations.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of commercial trucks and troubleshooting.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
