Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks and trailers on designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as required.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and delivery paperwork in compliance with FMCSA standards.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of the driver, cargo, and public.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Texas.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate manual and power lifting equipment.
