Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes in Austin and surrounding areas
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and mileage documentation
- Load/unload shipments using appropriate equipment while ensuring product integrity
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional communication and reliable service
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Austin area geography and navigation systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions
- Previous experience with route planning and delivery software preferred
