Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on assigned routes throughout North Carolina and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logging
- Load/unload freight efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Manage delivery documentation and billing paperwork
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate vehicle servicing
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of hazardous materials (Hazmat) certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills and route planning abilities
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
