Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver goods on established routes throughout Washington, DC metropolitan area
- Perform pre-trip inspections, post-trip inspections, and basic vehicle maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging systems (ELD) compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Ensure timely and secure delivery of freight while maintaining excellent customer service
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and local traffic laws
- Assist with loading/unloading freight when necessary
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong knowledge of Washington, DC area geography and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Previous experience with hazmat tanker or doubles/triples endorsements preferred
