Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods on designated routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report vehicle issues
- Load/unload cargo securely with proper equipment and documentation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and customer communication records
- Navigate complex urban routes efficiently while meeting tight delivery schedules
- Represent the company professionally through exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Knowledge of Washington, DC metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and route navigation tools
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
