Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment while ensuring cargo security.
- Complete daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) and maintain accurate logs (ELD).
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and routes.
- Handle general maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime.
