Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) as required by FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery details and address any issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and report any vehicle maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (e.g., Tanker, Hazmat) as applicable.
- Achieve a passing score on the Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong command of the English language for communication.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- No prior professional driving experience is required; we offer paid training programs for qualified candidates.
