Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in strict adherence to all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight across the Dallas metroplex and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report defects.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and all required shipping documentation.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and appropriate equipment.
- Represent Apex Logistics professionally at customer facilities, weigh stations, and on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and meet vision standards.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred but not mandatory for top candidates).
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, safe decisions under pressure.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
