Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks to deliver freight to designated locations in and around Jacksonville, FL.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and dock equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of miles driven, hours of service, and cargo status.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with dispatch and receivers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hours of service (HOS), and safety standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends if necessary.
