Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate delays to dispatch immediately.
- Keep the vehicle and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism while driving.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and navigation systems.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs occasionally.
