Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all trips, adhering to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues encountered.
- Uphold the company's high standards for safety, cleanliness, and customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. (CDL training available for qualified applicants with no experience).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
