Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure stowage and proper documentation.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service while delivering freight to designated locations.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations regarding hours of service and weight limits.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) free of major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) is mandatory.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement methods and DOT regulations.
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
