Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to safety protocols and weight restrictions.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DOT) and ensure all paperwork is up to date.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with brokers, shippers, and receivers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, road conditions, and schedule changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
- Must be willing to travel within the region and potentially long-haul routes.
- Professional demeanor and a commitment to safety.
