Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional routes within Virginia and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight efficiently with proper equipment handling
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using ELD systems
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Represent Coastal Transport Solutions professionally in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and regional geography
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Flexibility for early morning start times and occasional weekend work
