Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (Electronic Logging Device - ELD) and daily reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of navigation and route planning software.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
