Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently over long distances
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Plan optimal routes using GPS technology for timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route conditions and delays
- Secure cargo and ensure compliance with transportation laws
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb equipment safely
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight stays
- Pass background check and TSA clearance
