Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes within Michigan and surrounding states
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, or mechanical issues
- Represent Prime Logistics professionally at customer facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Michigan roadways and regional geography
- Basic understanding of electronic logging devices (ELD)
