Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and timely manner on regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and adhere to all DOT and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other drivers.
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery and pickup locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and be DOT compliant.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia state laws and interstate trucking regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
