Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for regional routes covering Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs per DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and securement protocols
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route adjustments
- Adhere to strict safety standards and company policies at all times
- Utilize telematics systems for efficient navigation and performance monitoring
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging devices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills and route optimization knowledge
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips during peak seasons
