Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify any potential issues.
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner at all times.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent shifting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck's interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is mandatory.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and cargo securement.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
