Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for local and regional delivery routes within the Minneapolis metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring freight is handled with care and arrive at the destination on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any route deviations.
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in strict adherence to hours of service (HOS) rules.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Entry-level candidates with a permit will be considered for training programs.
- Achieve a passing score on the DOT physical examination (Medical Card required).
- Must possess a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Basic computer skills for logging and communication purposes.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
