Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security and safety.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in accordance with DOT regulations (ELD/HOS).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and reporting.
