Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) adhering to all FMCSA and company regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper handling techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation, including delivery receipts and bills of lading.
- Navigate efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedule changes or issues.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical on file.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with ELD devices and electronic logging systems.
