Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight to customer locations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Load and Unload: Secure cargo using straps and chains, ensuring the safety of the merchandise during transit.
- Maintain Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logbooks accurately.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients to ensure satisfaction and handle inquiries or complaints effectively.
- Route Planning: Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to optimize delivery routes and avoid traffic delays.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and pass a DOT physical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to use a handheld radio or mobile device.
- Tools: Must have a current DOT medical card.
