Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in urban and highway environments within the San Francisco region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using proper techniques and forklifts, ensuring cargo security.
- Maintain accurate records via Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and delivery logs.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and route adjustments.
- Uphold a professional image while representing Bay Area Transport Solutions.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) available for review.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
