Responsibilities
- Drive and operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery statuses.
- Inspect the vehicle for mechanical issues before and after each trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred, though not always required for box trucks.
- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50-100 lbs) repeatedly.
- Reliable communication device (cell phone).
- Proven track record of safe driving and on-time delivery.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
