Responsibilities
- Transport goods safely and efficiently throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch teams in real-time
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery while prioritizing fuel efficiency
- Manage customer relations during delivery and pickup operations
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for seamless loading/unloading procedures
- Submit weekly mileage and expense reports for accurate compensation
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of box truck driving experience in urban environments
- Reliable box truck (24-26 ft) with current registration and insurance
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and basic logistics software
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally during loading/unloading
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Willingness to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
