Responsibilities
- Secure, load, and unload cargo safely and efficiently using proper tie-down methods.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and FMCSA regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily logs (DVIR) and delivery documentation (BOL/POD).
- Ensure the cleanliness and mechanical integrity of the truck at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery times, route changes, and potential delays.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers.
Qualifications
- Valid DOT Operating Authority (MC#/USDOT#) and current insurance.
- 1+ years of verifiable experience as a Box Truck Owner Operator.
- Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) if required by cargo type.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for routine truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
