Responsibilities
- Transport freight between distribution centers, warehouses, and retail locations in Philadelphia and surrounding areas
- Ensure timely delivery while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proper signatures for consignments
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes for efficiency while respecting delivery time windows
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with box trucks
- Reliable 24-26 ft box truck (2015 or newer preferred)
- Basic GPS navigation proficiency and smartphone capability
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Pass background check and drug screening
