Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own box truck for local/regional freight deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation (BOLs, mileage)
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time pickups
- Inspect vehicle pre/post-trip to ensure DOT compliance
- Build client relationships through professional communication
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and basic repairs
- Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and fuel savings
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Personal box truck (24-26ft) in good working condition
- Strong knowledge of Columbus metro area and Ohio highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- DOT medical certification current
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs
- Smartphone with reliable data for dispatch apps
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability)
