Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries within Washington, DC metro area
- Manage loading/unloading operations with precision and efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Ensure vehicle compliance with DOT regulations and perform daily inspections
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries while maintaining flexibility in scheduling
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Uphold company standards for customer service and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial box truck experience
- Proof of commercial insurance (liability/cargo)
- Reliable box truck (26' or larger) in good mechanical condition
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Washington, DC geography and traffic patterns
- Basic smartphone proficiency for dispatch communication
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
