Responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery of freight throughout Minnesota and surrounding regions
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Optimize routes to minimize transit time and fuel consumption
- Uphold strict compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Build client relationships through professional on-time delivery performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years commercial experience)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck operating experience
- Proven ability to manage independent contractor responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of Saint Paul metro area and regional highways
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude for preventive maintenance checks
- Smartphone with reliable data access for communication and documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
