Responsibilities
- Execute timely local and regional deliveries across NYC metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with DOT regulations
- Manage route optimization to maximize efficiency and fuel savings
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding delays or issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience in urban environments
- DOT medical certification and clean driving record
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability)
- Reliable 26' box truck (2015 or newer preferred)
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and borough geography
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Smartphone with reliable data for dispatch apps
