Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries
- Optimize routes for maximum efficiency and on-time performance
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and vehicle inspection records
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling during transit
- Coordinate with dispatch for real-time route adjustments
- Perform basic preventative maintenance checks
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck operation experience
- Strong knowledge of Greater New Orleans area
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- Commercial liability insurance coverage
- DOT medical certification current
- Smartphone with GPS capabilities
- Reliable personal vehicle for pre/post-trip inspections
