Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck (26-28ft) for local/regional freight delivery
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintenance coordination, and DOT compliance
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and basic warehouse equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic tracking systems
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery while prioritizing safety
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Represent Raleigh Freight Logistics with professional conduct and customer service excellence
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Reliable 26-28ft box truck (2006 or newer, DOT-compliant)
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability minimum)
