Responsibilities
- Operate a box truck (24-26 ft) for local/regional freight deliveries throughout North Carolina and surrounding states
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and required documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries
- Safely load/unload freight using provided equipment or manual techniques as needed
- Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and report maintenance requirements promptly
- Represent our company professionally while interacting with clients at delivery points
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial vehicle insurance (minimum $1M liability)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Basic mechanical knowledge for pre/post-trip inspections
- Reliable communication via smartphone and email
- Must own or lease a 24-26 ft box truck in good working condition
