Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently on regional routes within Detroit and surrounding areas
- Manage loading/unloading operations and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and provide real-time GPS tracking updates
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and service excellence
- Optimize routes to maximize delivery efficiency and fuel economy
- Maintain clean, compliant truck appearance and DOT-mandated documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck or straight truck experience
- Strong knowledge of Detroit metropolitan area roadways and logistics hubs
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Reliable owned box truck (26ft-32ft) in good mechanical condition
- Basic understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Exceptional time management and customer service skills
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
