Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries using GPS technology
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch for real-time load assignments
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with DOT regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
- Strong time management and route planning abilities
- Reliable smartphone with data plan
- Commercial insurance (minimum $1M liability)
