Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport various materials including dirt, gravel, and asphalt.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload materials efficiently while adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic driver's vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating heavy dump trucks in a construction or mining environment.
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and load securement procedures.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks, including climbing in and out of the cab and lifting moderate weights.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as required.
