Responsibilities
- Safe Driving: Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Customer Service: Deliver packages to customers with a friendly attitude, ensuring proper handling and professional presentation.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Package Handling: Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring accuracy and handling fragile items with care.
- Route Planning: Follow optimized delivery routes to ensure timely completion of all stops.
- Documentation: Complete necessary delivery paperwork and log accurate driving hours.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years.
- Experience: Previous experience as a professional driver or in logistics is preferred but not always required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
