Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport packages to residential and business addresses.
- Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring all items are handled with care and remain intact.
- Utilize handheld scanners and mobile devices to manage delivery logs and update tracking information in real-time.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, handling returns and special instructions as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies regarding driving and customer service.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Driver's License (Commercial Driver's License preferred but not always required depending on fleet type).
- A clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain polite and patient in various situations.
- Basic English reading and writing proficiency for scanning and communication.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and flexible schedule availability.
