Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages and ensure timely, accurate deliveries to customers
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to maximize efficiency and meet daily quotas
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service, including package handling assistance and delivery confirmations
- Adhere strictly to Amazon safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies
- Manage package scanning, tracking, and documentation using Amazon's handheld devices
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve delivery exceptions
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly and maneuver in/out of vehicle
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Bakersfield area streets
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior delivery/driver experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by Amazon
- Basic smartphone proficiency for communication and app usage
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
