Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum-inspired machine learning and AGI alignment
- Design novel architectures for energy-efficient neural networks
- Develop ethical AI frameworks for autonomous decision-making systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on neuromorphic computing prototypes
- Translate research into production-ready solutions with engineering teams
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, or Quantum Physics with 5+ years experience
- Published 20+ papers at NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR conferences
- Expertise in transformer architectures and quantum computing principles
- Proven track record of translating research to commercial products
- Strong programming skills in Python, PyTorch, and C++
- Experience with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of AI ethics and alignment challenges
- Preferred: Background in neuromorphic computing or federated learning
